Privacy Policy

Celestial Dial, Inc. (“Celestial Dial,” “we,” “us”) provides a daily personalized horoscope delivered by text message. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We’ve written it to be read, not endured.

What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, and mobile phone number.
  • Birth details — your birthdate, and optionally your birth time and birthplace, used to personalize your readings.
  • Subscription details — your plan status and billing history. Card numbers are handled solely by Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • Usage — delivery times, message status, and the thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback you choose to give.

How we use it

To generate and deliver your daily reading at the hour you choose, to manage your subscription, to respond when you reply STOP, HELP, or START, and to improve the quality of our writing. We do not use your birth details for advertising, ever.

How your sensitive details are protected

Your phone number, birthdate, birth time, and birthplace are encrypted at rest using AES-256, with keys rotated regularly. Traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Access is limited to the systems that need it to deliver your reading.

Who we share with

We share only what’s necessary with the service providers that run the product: Twilio (text delivery), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), our AI provider (reading generation), and Resend (email). Each is bound by a data-processing agreement. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your choices and rights

  • Stop texts instantly by replying STOP to any message.
  • Access, correct, or download your information from your account settings.
  • Delete your account at any time — we honor deletion requests within 30 days, and California residents have the rights granted under the CCPA and CPRA.

How long we keep things

When you delete your account, your personal information is removed after a short 14-day recovery window. Certain records are retained where the law requires it — text-consent records for at least four years, and tax records for seven — detached from your identity where we can.

The service

Celestial Dial sends one personalized horoscope by text each day, at a time you choose. Readings are written for reflection and entertainment. They are not advice — see the disclaimer below.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and have a U.S. mobile number to subscribe.

Free trial, billing & renewal

  • Your subscription begins with a 7-day free trial. We’ll remind you before it ends.
  • After the trial, the plan is $9 per month plus any applicable tax, billed automatically until you cancel.
  • If a payment fails, we’ll retry over several days; if it can’t be collected, the subscription is paused and then cancelled.

Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel anytime from your settings; your readings continue through the period you’ve already paid for. We don’t refund completed billing periods, except that we’ll gladly refund a charge in full within seven days if you reach out to our support team.

If you opt out of texts

Because the service is the daily text, opting out and staying subscribed doesn’t quite work. If you reply STOP, we stop texting immediately and email you a one-tap link to cancel billing. If you neither cancel nor resubscribe, we pause billing within seven days and cancel the subscription after 30 days, so you’re never charged for a service you’ve switched off.

Acceptable use

Please don’t resell, scrape, or abuse the service, and don’t use it to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior three months.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll note the date above and, for material changes, let you know by email.

The program

Celestial Dial sends recurring automated promotional and informational text messages, including your daily personalized horoscope and account notifications.

The consent you give

“By providing my phone number and checking this box, I consent to receive recurring automated promotional and informational text messages from Celestial Dial, Inc. at the number provided, including daily personalized horoscopes. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, up to 35 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”

Confirming your number

After you sign up, we send one text asking you to reply YES to confirm. If you don’t confirm within 24 hours, we don’t enroll the number.

Keywords

  • STOP (also STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) — unsubscribes you immediately. We send one confirmation and no further texts.
  • START (also UNSTOP, SUBSCRIBE) — resubscribes you after a previous STOP.
  • HELP (also INFO) — replies with our contact details and opt-out reminder.

Frequency & cost

Message frequency varies, up to 35 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
